SAISIP History
Since 1991, Search Associates has placed interns in schools throughout the world. In September 1994, Search Associates acquired the International School Internship Program (ISIP) from the Overseas School Assistance Corporation (OSAC), which, in turn, had been established pursuant to a grant from the Office of Overseas Schools of the U.S. Department of State. As a result, Search Associates is now the only organization which actively seeks placement in international schools for large numbers of intern candidates from colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada.
SAISIP serves international schools by providing a cadre of new teaching intern candidates who have exceptional academic skills, as well as the motivation and personal characteristics to serve as role models for students in grades K-12.
SAISIP recruits outstanding graduates who have earned either a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Although teaching certification is not required, there are some schools which prefer it.
