Should You Teach Overseas

Spending part of your career working in another country can be one of the more fulfilling experiences of your professional life. However, it is also a challenging experience and not everyone is suited to the opportunity. Through our many years of experience, Search Associates has developed a method to help you determine whether teaching overseas is right for you.

Whether you are an experienced and seasoned administrator or teacher, or someone comparatively new to the teaching profession, we ask that you take the time to consider the information below. It includes items you should consider before applying such as the criteria we prefer and the costs involved. When you proceed to the Application Process we will also ask you to complete a series of Candidate Screening Questions. By taking the time to review this information you will discover whether you will be successful as an educator in an environment totally different from the one to which you are accustomed. You will determine what leaving your home country would mean to you professionally and personally and how it will affect your career and your finances.
