PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. BOTH THIS AGREEMENT AND THE ENTIRE APPLICATION FORM MUST
BE COMPLETED PERSONALLY BY THE SCHOOL HEAD OR REVIEWED IN DETAIL AND APPROVED PERSONALLY BY THE SCHOOL HEAD, AS THEY CONTAIN INFORMATION WHICH HAS LEGAL AND CONTRACTUAL SIGNIFICANCE.
This web site allows schools to search the
candidate database for suitable candidates and it
also allows the candidates to visit the vacancy
database and school information to search for suitable
positions. All details of each candidate visit and
school visit are recorded and automatically sent to
the appropriate associate electronically, so that we are
able to maintain permanent records of all search activity on our site.
In order to gain access to our web database, all
schools must agree to the following:
TERMS OF AGREEMENT
The school becomes a member of Search Associates with payment of a fee of $450 giving full access to candidates on the website. The membership fee is fully deductible from the first placement fee paid in a given year.
Should a school representative visit the web application of any candidate on
The Search Associates web site, and should the school subsequently hire that candidate, the school agrees to pay a placement fee of 6% of the candidate's first year salary (with a minimum of $1200). Should a candidate visit your school vacancy page on the Search Associates website, or learn of an opening at your school through the daily email received from Search Associates, and subsequently contact your school and be hired, the school will abide by all the terms of the payment agreement outlined in this paragraph.
The school agrees to promptly notify the
appropriate Associate (name and address as
indicated at the top of page 1 of the candidates
application) of any verbal or written offer accepted verbally or in
writing by the candidate, preferably no later than 10 days after such offer is accepted
by the candidate.
The school agrees that all placement fees will be paid
promptly.
The school agrees to give all candidates
sufficient time to consider a verbal or written
offer of employment, and to refrain from exerting
undue pressure such as requiring a decision in an unreasonably
short period of time.
The school agrees to guard the confidentiality of
all materials on the web and ESPECIALLY any
printed references received by mail, fax or at a
recruitment fair.
The school agrees that they will NOT give to other
recruiters or organizations any of our web
information, passwords, or hard copies of information
about Search Associates candidates and will not in any way refer Search Associates candidates to other schools without permission from Search Associates.
The school agrees to give the school username and password to at least two other senior administrators of the school who will be responsible for confidentiality and whose names will be updated annually with Search Associates. The loss or compromising of either username or password may necessitate completing the school application form all over again.
The school agrees to update the vacancy list promptly when a new position is available or when a position is filled. The school acknowledges that if a vacancy posted on our web site is left unattended for 45 days, it is automatically deleted. (Please note that the web automatically generates a reminder every 15 days for each vacancy which you list.)
Search Associates does everything possible to prevent teachers from reneging on or resigning early from a contract. If the school experiences any serious difficulties, contractual or otherwise, with a teacher placed through Search Associates, please report the gist of the difficulties to Search Associates, for the protection of other schools to which the teacher might apply in the future.
The school agrees to abide by NAIS ethical guidelines for the hiring and contracting of faculty.
Search Associates reserves the right to cancel a school's password and access to this section of the web site at any time, should any breach of ethics be committed by the school (as indicated above or in the school's treatment of teachers in the school).
