New Senior Associate Brent Mutsch

Search Associates is excited to welcome Brent Mutsch as a Senior Associate, as of this August 2017.  Brent will take a lead role in leadership searches conducted by Search Associates and will also assume consultation with school boards seeking assistance with board governance, strategic planning, staff recruiting and other areas of interest. 

Brent earned his Bachelor of Arts in History/Education at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, Master of Arts in Secondary Counseling at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, and a Doctorate in Education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. 

Brent’s role as Associate follows a 44-year career in education. The first 21 years of his career provided Brent the opportunity to learn, grow and serve as a teacher, counselor, high school associate principal, high school principal and superintendent in public schools in Iowa and Colorado.  The past 23 years were spent providing leadership to an exceptional group of international schools. Brent served as Superintendent of the International Schools Group during a tenure from 1994-2002, Superintendent of Saudi Aramco School from 2002-2007, Singapore American School from 2007-2012 and the American School of Dubai from 2012-2017.

When not engaged in work associated with international education, Brent’s further passions include; faith, family, friends, travel, running, photography and reading. 

In joining Search Associates, Brent is extremely excited to have the opportunity to join an organization that has had such a profound and positive impact on international education.  He views his association with Search as extending countless chances to further learn, grow and make quality contributions to the field of international education.
